Spring Jazz Concert
Come see the Southeast Jazz Lab and Jazz Studio perform Ella Fitzgerald-style big band swing as they close out their 2024/25 season. The jazz ensembles at SEMO are under the direction of Dr. Felipe Brito. General admission is available for $15, and SEMO students can get in for $5 with their ID!

Southeast Wind Symphony Spring Concert
Enjoy lively rhythms and memorable melodies featuring the Southeast Wind Symphony and University Concert Band at its finest. Check out pieces by renowned composers Vincent Persichetti, Alfred Reed, and Dimitri Shostakovich among others. Isaac Thorn will be a featured guest conductor for movement IV. “Ahab” of Francis McBeth’s “Of Sailors and Whales” with the University Concert Band. General admission is available for $18, and SEMO students can get in for $5 with their ID!

David's "Concertino" — Celebrate the Arts Performance
Isaac Thorn (trombone) and Professor Rachael Rule (piano) partner together in a performance of Ferdinand David’s Concertino, Allegro maestoso. The evening is dedicated to a celebration of the fine arts on the River Campus featuring music, theater, and dance. General admission is $15, and SEMO students can get in for $5 with their ID!

Through the Years — Spring Choir Concert
In the final choral concert of the semester, the Chamber and University Choirs will join with the Choral Union to present a program of choral music spanning the centuries and the globe - don't miss it! Dvorak's "From the New World" Symphony — Southeast Symphony Orchestra
Guest cellist Julian Schwarz will display stellar artistry in performing Elgar's famous Cello Concerto in E Minor. Then, the Southeast Symphony Orchestra embarks on a journey with Dvorak to bring standard orchestral repertoire to the River Campus. The orchestra is under the direction of Dr. Sara Edgerton and concertmaster Dr. Sophia Han. Reserved tickets are available for $25, and SEMO students can get in for $5 with their ID!

Ryleigh Mejean’s BA Senior Recital
Ryleigh Mejean is a senior Vocal Bachelor of Arts major at Southeast Missouri State University. The evening will feature a live jazz combo, a variety of composers, and even self-arranged pieces. Admission is free at this student event!

Christopher Mosher is a senior Instrumental Music Education and Trumpet Performance major at Southeast Missouri State University. Enjoy an hour of variety: from piccolo trumpet to flugelhorn and from brass quintet to jazz combo. Admission is free at this student event!

Jazz Combo | SEMO Sesquicentennial Ball to Celebrate 150 Years
Southeast Missouri State University will host a Sesquicentennial Ball on Saturday, April 6, 2024 to raise funds for student scholarships as part of the University’s Transforming Lives comprehensive campaign. This grand event will take place at the Show Me Center, at 6 p.m. with a social hour, followed by dinner and entertainment at 7 p.m. and dancing beginning at 9 p.m.
Tickets are now available for purchase at semo.edu/150ball, with individual tickets priced at $250 and tables of eight available for $2,000. Organizations interested in sponsorship packages can contact Phil Willmert with the University Foundation at pcwillmert@semo.edu.
